Summerville, S.C. – SCRA announced the recent acceptance of six Client Companies into its SC Launch Program. Client Companies are accepted into the economic development program to receive mentoring and support services. These companies may be eligible for grants, matching funds and/or investments.
Coastal Client Companies
Bublish is the world’s first complete, cloud-based publishing platform with integrated marketing, branding and discoverability features. The platform enables authors to write, publish, promote, distribute, sell and track their work from one dashboard.
Hercules Spine has developed a spinal reduction with surgical implant system to treat patients with a spondylolisthesis deformity that causes disability from back and/or leg pain. The product is developed from research conducted at the Medical University of South Carolina in collaboration with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
SENTIO is technology that uses comprehensive mental makeup data and predictive algorithms to help companies make personnel decisions. SENTIO can assist any company with building their culture, finding the right team members, increasing managerial efficiency and reducing turnover.
Midlands Client Companies
Healthy Hands Cooking is a patent pending online training, certification and business support system that aims to fight childhood obesity and improve individuals’ economic well-being by offering a career path for home cooks to teach others about healthy cooking and nutrition. The company was also approved for a $15,000 Project Development Fund grant.
Upstate Client Companies
Pedal Chic is the first bike shop in North America specifically catered to women. A thought leader in the industry, Pedal Chic is recognized globally as a growing brand focused on transforming their riders lives by creating products that meet the needs of all female cyclists. Pedal Chic has also been approved for a Project Development Fund grant.
Simpliphy is a cloud-based web application that allows hospitals and clinical practices to manage physician compensation. Simpliphy is quick to implement and easy-to-use.
