Summerville, S.C. – Borealis Global Advisory and CarbonCents were accepted as South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) Member Companies. Infinity Collar and SiteMarker received new grant funding.
All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA’s Resource Partner Network, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the potential to be considered for an investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc.
Borealis Global Analytics LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The fintech start-up based out of Blythewood, is a SaaS platform that saves significant time and money for money managers who want to invest globally by leveraging advanced algorithms and visualization tools to provide world-leading, real-time, and actionable country-level insights.
CarbonCents Inc. has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Walhalla-based startup provides solutions to organizations to collect, measure, and evaluate energy costs and emissions. Their service is providing insight into the operations of manufacturing, health care, education, and municipalities.
Infinity Collar, LLC received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. The Fort Mill-based startup created the first and only fully portable and customizable pet containment system. It allows users to keep their pets safe wherever they go while also giving them the freedom to explore the area they are in without physical hardware constraints.
SiteMarker Inc. received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. The Mt. Pleasant-based startup provides a software platform that collects and provides land development data in real time. The service is helpful for landowners, lenders, design firms, developers, contractors, inspectors, and municipalities.
SCRA welcomes these new Member Companies and congratulates those that received funding.
Grant funding is made possible, in part, by the Industry Partnership Fund (IPF) contributions that fuel the state’s innovation economy. Contributors to the IPF receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit, making it an easy and effective way to help one of the fastest growing segments of the South Carolina economy. Grant funding for Member Companies creates a direct, positive economic effect and job creation.
