Summerville, S.C. – Fire Gator was accepted as a South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) Member Company. Bird Dog Deals, Humimic Medical, and Integrated Micro-Chromatography Systems received new grant funding.
All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA’s Resource Partner Network, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the potential to be considered for an investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc.
Bird Dog Deals LLC, an SCRA Member Company, received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. The Columbia-based startup produces real estate acquisition automation software that streamlines underwriting for large investors looking to buy single family homes across the country.
Fire Gator LLC has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. The Greenwood-based startup specializes in automatic fire suppression systems for buses, motor coaches, farm equipment, construction equipment, and heavy machinery. They protect the engine compartments and battery storage areas from brake or wheel hub fires and in-cabin fires.
Humimic Medical LLC, an SCRA Member Company, received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. The Greenville-based startup produces high-quality, professional, synthetic medical gelatins using state-of-the-art techniques. The gelatins products are used in medical research, simulations, and other types of health care training.
Integrated Micro-Chromatography Systems Inc., an SCRA Member Company, received a $50,000 Federal Matching Grant. The Irmo-based startup creates, manufactures, and distributes next-generation biotechnology products to clinical and forensic toxicology organizations, academic research facilities, federal government agencies, and health science companies.
SCRA welcomes these new Member Companies and congratulates those that received funding.
Grant funding is made possible, in part, by the Industry Partnership Fund (IPF) contributions that fuel the state’s innovation economy. Contributors to the IPF receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit, making it an easy and effective way to help one of the fastest growing segments of the South Carolina economy. Grant funding for Member Companies creates a direct, positive economic effect and job creation.
