Columbia, SC — South Carolina Research Authority’s investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc., has invested $250,000 in Storybutton. The Indian Land-based startup developed an audio platform and player for children that allows them to listen to podcasts, bedtime stories, and more without using a mobile phone.
Storybutton Inc. became an SCRA Member Company in 2024 and an SC Launch Inc. Portfolio Company when they received this investment.
“As many children are exceeding the American Academy of Pediatrics screentime recommendations, parents need an alternative for educational, informational, and entertainment options. Storybutton developed that alternative,” said SCRA Investment Associate Javon Jones. “Storybutton allows children to listen and engage with their favorite shows without screen time. This innovation is a great option for parents and educators.”

Storybutton users can explore a library of educational kids’ podcasts, audiobooks, and stories with personalized content that make it easy for them to choose their favorite stories and episodes.
