Summerville, S.C. – In the latest issue of Outdoor Life, TerraStride’s HuntStand app was given the Editor’s Choice Award for best in-field smartphone app. The February/March issue featured results from a field test conducted on six outdoor apps for mobile devices. The apps were ranked in categories ranging from map accuracy to ease-of-use in recording wildlife sightings.
HuntStand received a score of 9 in functionality, user interface and map accuracy. Outdoor Life editor Tony Hansen said, “The overall user interface is intuitive and easy to master.” The app received an overall score of 84.
In December, the company celebrated reaching one million downloads, making it one of the most popular sports apps available.
Outdoor Life is the leading publication for outdoorsmen and is distributed to over five million people worldwide.
“We are very pleased to have received this award from Outdoor Life. That sort of third party independent validation of our design, layout and overall functionality is great recognition of a lot of hard work.” said Lanford Holloway, TerraStride Founder and CEO.
TerraStride is an SC Launch Portfolio Company.
