South Carolina Research Authority’s SC Academic Innovations (SCAI) recently participated in the fourth annual Entrepreneurship Day held at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology on the Florence-Darlington Technical College campus. Speakers included Dr. Laura Boccanfuso, founder and CEO of Vän Robotics, one of SC Launch’s Client Companies, telling the story of her startup: ABii, The Smart Robot Tutor.
Director of SCAI Christine Dixon Thiesing presented a breakout session entitled, “Regional Resources and Services for Entrepreneurs.” She and SCAI Program Manager Kella Player Hanna staffed an information booth, talking with attendees about opportunities with SCRA.
