House Ways and Means Chair Appoints New SCRA Board Trustee

Columbia, SC – South Carolina Research Authority announces that State Representative Robby Robbins has joined SCRA’s board of trustees as a member of the executive committee.

Rep. Robbins was appointed to the board by the Chair of the South Carolina House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Bruce Bannister. Robbins serves District 97, encompassing parts of Dorchester and Colleton Counties, in the South Carolina General Assembly.

In addition to his legislative career, he has held leadership positions in various civic and professional organizations, including serving as chairperson of the SCDOT Commission and on the boards of the Charleston Metro Chamber Infrastructure Visioning Task Force and Charleston Regional Development Alliance.

SCRA President and CEO Bob Quinn said, “Rep. Robbins has been a champion of economic development in South Carolina for many years. We are thrilled to have him join the executive committee.”

Robbins is an attorney with Thurmond, Kirchner & Timbes, P.A., and resides in Summerville.
