Summerville, S.C.—South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) announces Stand Yourself Up, LLC, being accepted as new Member Company, and being approved for grant funding. Existing Member Company, Agulus, Inc., was also approved for grant funding.
Stand Yourself Up, LLC has been accepted as a Member Company into the SC Launch Program and will be receiving a $50,000 Acceleration Grant. The Anderson-based company is improving the health, wellbeing, and independence of people with mobility issues. Their product, Buddy Bar, is an innovative medical transfer device comprising a set of strong, stable, and durable grip handlebars that helps users stand upright from a sitting position, with minimum caregiver assistance.
Agulus, Inc., an existing Member Company, has been approved to receive a $25,000 Project Development Fund Grant. The Greenville-based, agricultural-technology company offers web-based solutions for problems facing the agricultural industry. Their online platform fosters collaboration among farmers, buyers, brokers, carriers, and other organizations. Clients can create and manage contracts, communicate with advisors, buy and sell commodities, and arrange freight shipping.
SCRA fulfills its mission of fueling South Carolina’s innovation economy through its four programs, SC Academic Innovations, SC Facilities, SC Industry Solutions, and SC Launch.
