entrepreneurs law group

entrepreneurs law group was formed to provide emerging businesses with legal advice from the entrepreneurs’ point of view. Our lawyers know that to be successful, you’ve got to take some risk. We counsel our clients on how to manage that risk by anticipating issues in advance. We’ve also learned over the years that it’s relatively easy to start a business, but the challenge is to maximize the likelihood that the owners will be “on the same page” when the inevitable difficulties arise. We like to spend time with owners discussing their goals and how they might deal with particular challenges, including how to address an impasse. Our role often looks more like pre-marital counselor than it does scrivener for the deal, but this is one of the ways we add value.

elg’s lawyers have the experience to advise you with your capital raising needs, and if it’s your goal, the future sale of the business. Kevin Hendricks, elg’s Group Leader, received his corporate finance and M&A training at one of the world’s largest law firms. After cutting his teeth in that environment, he joined a pre-revenue telecommunications company as General Counsel. Kevin advised the company every step of the way as it raised over $400 million of capital, which culminated in an investment by a global private equity fund. Having been part of the decision-making process in an entrepreneurial environment, Kevin has the perspective that legal advice should support the business and not drive it. He continues to provide practical advice to companies raising capital from institutional venture capital and private equity funds, as well as from individual investors and angel groups.
